Macon Faces is a social network for folks living in the middle Georgia area and their friends. You have most likely been invited to join if you figured out how to navigate to this corner of the Internet as we are not actively advertising our site.
Macon Faces is Invite-Only for the specific purpose of providing area residents a way to collaborate and discuss whatever is on their minds with those who are most affected: our neighbors.
No doubt you've heard of other social networking sites and, if you have children, have been worried about the exposure they're getting because of them. We believe that maintaining a site for familiar faces provides an alternative option to having to choose the "nicer" social network. Using Macon Faces, our children will benefit from having the capability of sharing and communicating with their community without being saddled with having to deal with dangerous elements who are also anonymous.
At Macon Faces, there are no anonymous users. Everyone on the site was specifically invited by somebody who we all know, and through our community of neighbors, we'll proactively use our communication skills to provide solutions for each other, as well as for ourselves.
Good question! Ask your friends if they've heard of our group. If they have, ask them to invite you. If you are already a member, think of your friends who use a computer and have an email address.
